Rapid Purge™ Pipe Purging System
The Rapid Purge™ Pipe Purging System is a patented pipe purge system designed and manufactured by MJS Purge Systems for faster, more efficient weld purging. Its unique flexible connecting collar reduces the volume of purge gas required, helping cut purge times and lower gas costs.
Ready to use with a dedicated regulated gas supply, the system operates at flow rates between 5 and 15 litres per minute through a pre-set purge valve. A high-intensity luminous central strip makes it easy to align the system to the weld gap for quick and accurate positioning.
Each system uses two interconnected inflatable units to seal the inside of the pipe before welding. Once inflated, the space between the seals is filled with inert gas to remove oxygen from the weld zone. For more precise monitoring, the system can be used with the Handy Purge Monitor.
Designed to be lightweight, collapsible and reusable, the Rapid Purge™ system helps reduce installation time and barrier gas consumption. It is available in sizes from 200mm to 2035mm or 8" to 80" in 25mm / 1" increments as standard. Heat-resistant versions are also available for higher-temperature applications.
