MJS Purge Systems Expands Peterlee Operations

MJS Purge Systems has continued to grow its Peterlee operations over the last year, supported by investment from Spantech Products Ltd.

The business has added additional warehouse units, welcomed more employees and invested in extensive quality control and production training. These improvements are helping to strengthen the MJS business process and prepare the Peterlee site for its future role as a consolidated hub for production, service and distribution.

The long-term aim is to bring Spantech warehouse and distribution activity into the Peterlee hub, creating one focused centre for both Spantech and MJS. This will support a more joined-up approach across production, servicing, technical support, distribution and administration.

As part of this development, a new telephone system is being installed to allow offices across the group to work from one shared exchange. This will provide a central number for sales, service, distribution, technical requests and administration, regardless of where individual team members are based.

MJS will also play an important future role in the servicing and repair of ACD gas generators in the UK. Spantech expects to begin UK-based ACD gas generator repairs and servicing by August 2026, avoiding the need for units to be returned to the USA.

The process is currently being developed and tested with Richard Dance over an extended period before it is moved into the Peterlee hub in 2027, once staff have been fully trained.

With new facilities, additional staff and continued investment in quality and production training, MJS is becoming a key part of the group’s future UK operations.
